Glulam

Glued Laminated Timber

Glued-laminated timber, or Glulam as it is more widely known, is the cornerstone product of heavy timber construction. Its combination of strength, aesthetic appeal, and economy makes it the most popular choice for many applications. Most glulam projects take advantage of the benefits of shop-fabrication for superior precision and quality control, as well as reducing site costs. All glulam is manufactured to the strict production requirements of CAN/CSA 0122 and ANSI A190.1. Available Species include Douglas fir, Spruce-Pine, and Alaskan Yellow Cedar. Both phenol-resorcional and Melamine adhesives are available depending on the application needs. Curved or straight, beam, truss or arch; glulam can do it all. Timber Systems proudly represents Western Archrib for glulam in Eastern Canada.
